For many years among our clients there has been an international company specialised in the production of animal feed. This Italian company is a member of the Dutch group Van Drie, European leader in the raising of dairy calves and the production of foods based on white meat.

Within the group, our client has the task of formulating the recipes for the feed they produce for the calves. The products are based on powdered milk and formulated to satisfy European quality standards, thus guaranteeing very high nutritional values. The Italian company provides its customers, dairy farmers in Italy and other EU countries, with feed of top quality.

Their team of highly qualified experts are constantly engaged in scientific research and technological innovation in both the development and production of animal feed.

WITHOUT THE BIG BAG

Before adopting of Minini’s Big Bag Pack Formance, the animal feed manufacturer used two systems for packing and transporting the powdered milk.

Multi-layer paper sacks piled on pallets. However the sack represented a considerable cost and was difficult to handle at all stages, from production to final use.
Transport in a loose state, using cistern trucks and silos. Cheaper in operations but plant, infrastructures and haulage were very expensive. Moreover, this system is very onerous since the silos, once erected, have to be put to full use.
